Children's Naturopath in Newcastle
As a children’s naturopath in Newcastle, Jasmin Polley works with kids from birth to 17, to investigate the root cause of health conditions, rather than just quieting the symptom. With over 20 years of clinical experience and two children of her own, Jasmin understands both the science and the reality of caring for a little one who isn’t feeling their best.
How we help children
Every child is different, so every plan is built around your child specifically. Families come to us for support with:
- Gut and digestion support: tummy pain, constipation, loose stools, bloating, reflux and fussy eating.
- Skin: eczema, rashes, hives and stubborn breakouts.
- Immunity: recurrent colds, ear infections and children who seem to catch everything.
- Sleep: trouble settling, frequent waking and restless nights.
- Mood and focus: anxiety, ADHD, big emotions, and difficulty concentrating.
- Food reactions and allergies: intolerances, sensitivities and unexplained symptoms.
Using gentle, evidence-informed naturopathic care, nutrition and, where helpful, functional testing, we work to understand why your child’s body is reacting the way it is, so that we can then support it to find its balance.
Our Functional Medicine Practitioner, Jasmin Polley, can work with children of all ages from 0-17 years
We know that a health appointment can feel like a big deal for a child, and for you. Our goal is to make the experience calm and unhurried. Jasmin takes the time to understand your child’s full history, listens to your concerns, and explains the “why” behind every recommendation in plain language, so you leave feeling clear and confident about the next step.
Please be aware that the initial appointment is 1 hour, which can be a long time for a child, especially if they are very young, have attention issues or are hyperactive. A parent or guardian must be present as the discussion will include complicated matters – such as full health history and potential further testing.
It can be helpful to have two parents or carers present, so that one can take them for a walk or play with them during the consultation. This ensures that Jasmin can cover all necessary health history and current concerns, conduct any physical assessments (if in person), answer any questions you may have and design their initial treatment plan.
